What to test

Everything below has passing tests and green gates. The point of this document is that green gates are not the same as somebody looking.

This file grows; it is not reissued. Parts 1–14 were written 2026-08-31 and Parts 15–21 added 2026-09-01 for the twenty-two issues built since, Part 25 (playing an adventure start to finish) added 2026-10-02, Parts 26–42 (everything built in V3 and Phase 7) added 2026-10-14, Part 43 (moving a piece) 2026-10-16, Part 44 (moderation) 2026-10-17, Parts 45–67 added 2026-10-23 for the eight days of building after that, and Parts 68–69 on 2026-10-24 for the phone controller and the loot library in full — the 2026-10-15 depth-audit wave, light and sight, the hero book, classes, quests, crafting, the oracle, the three new games, and twenty-three hotfixes out of the owner's own play. It keeps its original name on purpose — the page keys your ticks to the filename, so a new file every week would throw away every tick you have made. The date in the name is when it started, not when it was last true.

Three passes so far. Parts 1–4 on 2026-08-31 (results-2026-08-31.md); Part 1 in full plus samples of Parts 15, 19 and 21 on 2026-09-04 (results-2026-09-04.md) — that one found four things, three of them fixed the same day, including a grid overlay drawn on the wrong rectangle that made step 4 impossible to perform; and on 2026-09-09 a full host-side pass through Parts 2–14, 17, 18 and 19 (results-2026-09-09.md), which found six and fixed all six. Part 16 has still had no pass at all — it is almost entirely a window-resizing check and wants a person at a real screen. Parts 20 and 22 to 66 have had no pass, and that is the number that keeps growing: forty-seven of the sixty-six parts describe things nobody has looked at. Where the 2026-09-09 pass could not finish a step it says so in its own file, and those steps — 31, 33, 56, 57, 64, 77, 78, and 83 to 86 — are still open.

It is one continuous session rather than a list, because each step sets up the next. Roughly half an hour if nothing is wrong.

Where something is most likely to be wrong, it says so.

0 / 528

215 of 528 steps are marked ⚠️ — most likely to be wrong, and worth the eye.

Things I know are not done

  • Reviewed 2026-10-02. Six came off the list because they are done: heroes carry bows and javelins (reach 6–8), the board draws walls, region and city maps no longer count squares a turn, a piece in a fight moves only on its own turn, handing a resource back is logged, and a door opening is logged. Two are half done and say so. Everything still here is filed as Issue 333, so it shows on the roadmap. Later the same night five more came off: pieces slide, a hero's move in a fight is logged, the DM sees hidden clocks, two reaches show two rings, and the DM clicks a door on the map. On 2026-10-06 the rest of the code items came off: who may take an action is in the pack format, diagonals can cost two, a scene can end, the selection is read out, a creature is placed from the keyboard, and a piece left behind is badged and rescued. What is left is art, and one design question. Reviewed again 2026-10-14, when Parts 26–42 were added: nothing below came off. No art has been delivered since 2026-10-12, and every prompt still waiting is on Art still to make (/dev/art), which replaced the old art page on 2026-10-13. The things the new parts know are unfinished say so in their own steps.
  • Six contact sheets are still uncut, deliberately: they are more takes of subjects the shelf already has four of, and they are a masonry layout the cutter cannot do. Both reasons are written down.
  • Five rooms still cannot hold a battlemap. Ye Olde Tavern, After, The Study, The Hold and The Crypt dress your screens but have no board frame, floor or dice tray. The requests are in Content Factory MAX (/admin/art-factory), including the dressing the Study, the Hold and the Crypt never had, added 2026-10-23. The art itself is still to be made.
  • Most creatures have no picture, and a creature with no drawing shows two letters on a disc rather than one (Giant rat → GR), since Hotfix 478. The half of that which is done: a piece looks for its drawing every time the table is read, so a creature on a map built before its art landed stops being letters the moment the art is approved — nothing to migrate. The requests are in Content Factory MAX, grouped by ruleset and adventure.
  • Ten old theme sets on the art page still ask for a props sheet, which nothing uses now; each says to skip it.
  • Dice: four of the nine sets are drawn. The other five are withdrawn, not pending — the owner, 2026-10-23: “the program sucks at making them, it doesn't get the shape layout, they always look goofy”. The nine presets now wait on Issue 482, which builds the other six dice the way the d20 already is and makes a skin a material rather than a picture of a die. Do not go and generate them; that is the thing this line used to send people to do.
  • A draw is the host's alone. Players learn what wandered in when it walks onto the board. (A design question, not a bug.) The markers and Brother Matthias's poses, listed here before, were delivered in September — this list had them wrong. Tell me what you did and what happened. Everything above is committed, so nothing you do at the table can lose work that is not already saved.
