Terms
Terms of use
Last updated 24 October 2026. DnD Max is a virtual tabletop run by one person as a personal project. These terms are short because the honest version is short.
What this is
A place to play tabletop games with your friends, free to use, built and run by one person. It is not a company, there is no support desk, and it may change, break or go away. Please do not make it the only copy of anything you would be upset to lose.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself, and keep your recovery code somewhere safe — since no email is required, that code is the only way back into an account whose password is lost. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You can delete your account whenever you like, from your account page.
What you make stays yours
Characters, adventures, dice, tales — yours. By publishing something where other people can see it, you are allowing this site to show it to them and allowing them to use it at their tables, which is the point of publishing. You can take it out of the shared lists again at any time.
Where the built-in rulesets and art come from, and what their licences allow, is set out in the Legal Ledger.
What not to do here
- Do not upload or publish other people’s work as your own, or anything you do not have the right to share.
- Do not harass anybody, or use a table or a message to abuse someone.
- Do not publish anything illegal, or anything sexual involving children — this is reported, not moderated.
- Do not try to break into other people’s accounts or tables, and do not try to knock the site over.
Reported content is looked at, and anything breaking these rules can be pulled from the shared lists or have its account closed.
The AI features
The AI dungeon master, the pictures and the voices are built on outside services, and they get things wrong. What they write is a suggestion for your table, not a ruling.
The rules and the dice are not AI. Outcomes are worked out by the game engine, the AI describes what happened, and it cannot change a roll. That boundary is deliberate and it is enforced in the code rather than asked of the model.
Using those features sends table content to those providers — the privacy page names them and says exactly what goes.
No promises about it working
The site is provided as it is, with no warranty. It may be down, it may lose something, it may change under you. To the extent the law allows, the person who runs it is not liable for anything that follows from using it.
Questions, or something gone wrong
